What is the trader journal for?
A trading journal connects a session result with the decisions behind it. Record the date, instrument, currency, profit, loss and notes while the context is still fresh. The calendar makes it easier to return to a particular day, while the summary shows the totals in the selected currency. A profitable day does not prove that every decision followed your rules; use the notes to explain what happened.
What can you record after a forex session?
Describe the setup you observed, the entry condition, the planned risk and any deviation from the plan. Add the instrument and the day’s amounts in the correct currency. Distinguish the realised result from an estimate and account for trading costs in your own records. An entry is a record of the session, not an automatically imported broker statement. The journal also supports export so you can retain a copy of your records.
How do you review the results calendar?
Choose a day and review its result together with the notes. During a weekly review, compare similar situations and identify repeated process mistakes rather than focusing only on the largest gain. Separate planned decisions from exceptions introduced during a session. Pick one concrete behaviour to check in future practice and keep earlier notes available for comparison.
Where are my entries saved?
Your journal entries are associated with your account. Sign in to work with your saved records, including on another device. This public page describes the tool and contains no account entries. The journal interface and its data remain separate from this page. For a detailed example, read the education guide linked below and then open the journal in the app.
